Honduran Village Hit by Hurricane Eta
Early in November, Hurricane Eta devastated large parts of Honduras. Los Bananos, a village in the Sula Valley with a population of 536, was severely damaged as flooding destroyed many houses and displaced the resident families. CPI’s satellite school (32 students enrolled) was also lost along with all of its computer equipment.
The staff at our main school in Santa Cruz de Yojoa have informed us that the people of Los Bananos are in desperate need of clothing, food, and shelter, and that the satellite school will have to be replaced completely. They are collecting clothing and food from local sources to send to the village for immediate relief.
